Dear Confused,
A multivitamin is needed to ensure that you do not become deficient of anything. However, a multivitamin alone will keep you just above borderline of your RDA. Multivitamins will not increase or decrease your nutrient intake.
I recommend to include other vitamins such as; Vitamin D (look for a 2500 IU or 5000 IU per capsule/drop), a full B Complex (methylated), Vitamin C and omegas. Be sure to eat healthy and/or include greens powder to increase your absorption.
Holistically Yours,
Natasha
Dear Jay,
Medications can definitely throw off your body's rhythm. Probiotics are a great choice once you are completed with the medication. The reason why is because medications/antibiotics kills off all bacterias including the good bacterias. I would recommend using a prebiotic during the medication phase to strengthen your good bacterias in the morning. After the medication phase, continue with the prebiotic and begin taking your probiotic at night before bed on an empty stomach. As you do not want anything interfering with the probiotic during its 6-8hr work shift while you're sleeping. In order to see a difference it is recommended to continue this routine for at least 3 months.
Holistically Yours,
Natasha
PS:
- Please do not drink coffee until 15-30mins before or after. This is because caffeine works as a stimulant therefore anything taken with it will cause the sphincter valve (gateway to the intestines) to push majority of FOOD, MEDICATIONS, or SUPPLEMENTS into your waste - reasoning to why you have to go to the bathroom right after a coffee.
- Always keep a 2-4hr gap from any medication - What I am recommending is still a Herbal Medicinal . Conjunction of medications & supplements will either increase the medication too high OR completely destroy the supplement.
